A Strange Apparition

... on my way home
riding my bike
not so late at night
in the streets of Brooklyn,
from the corner of my eye something flee(t)ing...
a rat? too big for that
a cat? with a strange demeanour
perhaps an acrobat
or a racoon-like visitor
